Joe Manchin D-WVa and his daughter Heather Manchin are pitching major political donors on a nascent political organization focused on climate change and prescription drug policy, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Heather Manchin, 56, is a former pharmaceutical executive who ran for governor of West Virginia in 2019. She is also the founder and CEO of Generation West Virginia, a nonprofit organization that supports economic development in the state.
